Some archaeological sites may close temporarily for maintenance or events. We offer alternatives of equal value.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical assistance, accidents, loss of luggage and repatriation. Peru Global Travel does not include insurance in its packages, unless otherwise specified. We are not responsible for medical expenses or any other costs that may arise during the trip.

7. Health and Physical Requirements

Some of our tours (such as the Inca Trail or Salkantay Trek) require good physical condition due to long hikes and altitude. You are responsible for assessing your physical condition before booking. We recommend:

  • Consulting your doctor if you have doubts about your ability to perform the activity.
  • Acclimatizing in Cusco (altitude 3,400 m / 11,155 ft) for at least 2 days before starting high mountain treks.
  • Informing us about relevant medical conditions (heart problems, respiratory issues, pregnancy, etc.).

Altitude sickness: It is common in the Andes. Symptoms include headache, nausea and fatigue. Our guides are trained to assist you, but we are not responsible for the effects of altitude sickness.
