River Rafting Adventure in the Andes

The River Rafting tour has a MODERATE difficulty level and is designed for all types of adventurous people.

Rapids classification:

• Class II: Moderate rapids, small and regular waves. Ideal for beginners.
• Class III: Intense rapids with medium waves. Requires basic boat handling skills.
• Class IV (wet season): Challenging rapids with large waves. Experience recommended.

Who can participate?

Basic requirements:

• Know how to swim (not mandatory, but recommended)
• No serious heart or back problems
• Not pregnant

For the more adventurous: Longer trips with higher class rapids can also be arranged (inquire about availability).

Your safety is our priority. All rafting equipment is included and is of the highest quality.

Equipment provided:

• Life jacket (mandatory throughout the tour)
• Protective helmet (protection against impacts)
• Wetsuit (protects against cold water)
• Paddles
• Professional inflatable raft (capacity 6-8 people + guide)
• Rescue equipment (ropes, first aid kits)

Additional safety measures:

• Professional guides certified in water rescue
• Mandatory safety briefing before starting
• Support boat for emergencies
• Communication radio
• Liability insurance

Important: All equipment is checked before each departure.

The River Rafting tour lasts approximately 8 hours (Full Day).

Detailed schedule:

• 9:00 am: Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco
• 10:00 am: Arrival at the starting point on the river
• 10:30 am: Safety briefing and equipment delivery (life jacket, helmet, wetsuit)
• 11:00 am: Start of the rafting adventure (class II-III rapids)
• 1:30 pm: Included lunch (after rafting)
• 2:30 pm: Free time / option for more rapids (depending on availability)
• 4:00 pm: Return to Cusco
• 5:00 pm: Arrival in Cusco

Alternative schedule (high season): Departures also available at 10:00 am (inquire about availability).

Note: Schedules may vary slightly depending on river conditions and the season.

Recommendations for your river adventure:

• Swimsuit (to wear under the wetsuit)
• Sandals or sports shoes (that can get wet, no crocs or flip-flops)
• Towel (to dry off after rafting)
• Extra clothes to change into after the tour
• Warm jacket (it can be cold after rafting)
• Sunscreen (SPF 50+, even in the water, the sun burns)
• Sunglasses (with strap so they don't fall off)
• Waterproof camera or GoPro (optional, to record the adventure)
• Cash in soles (to buy tour photos, snacks, tips)
• Original passport (mandatory)
• Immigration card (TAM)

Important:

• The rafting equipment (life jacket, helmet, wetsuit) is provided by us
• Leave valuables at your hotel or in a safe place
• Bring a waterproof bag for your belongings (optional)

Yes! We have options so you don't miss any moment of the adventure.

Option 1: Your own waterproof camera

• You can bring your own GoPro or waterproof camera (with a strap to secure it)
• We recommend using a helmet with GoPro mount (available upon request)
• Important: We are not responsible for damage or loss of personal equipment

Option 2: Professional photo service (recommended)

• We have a professional photographer who captures the best moments of the tour
• Photos are taken from strategic points on the shore
• At the end of the tour, you can purchase the photos in digital format
• Cost: Approximately $15 - $25 USD (depending on number of photos)
