DESCRIPTION About the tour

The full-day Sacred Valley of the Incas tour begins promptly at 7:30 a.m., with pickup from your hotel lobby. From there, we will embark on a journey along a scenic road that winds through the mountains north of Cusco.

Our first stop will be at El Mirador, a famous viewpoint from which we get spectacular views of the Sacred Valley. Here we will learn about the geographic and historical importance of this valley, considered one of the main Inca settlement areas due to its fertile lands in the heart of the Andes. You will be able to see the agricultural terraces and ancient irrigation canals that still reflect the hydraulic ingenuity of the Incas.

We will continue to the Pisac archaeological complex, where we will explore its impressive stone structures, cultivable terraces and ceremonial temples. Then, we will descend to the town of Pisac to visit its traditional artisan market, ideal for purchasing unique handmade souvenirs.

In the afternoon, we will continue along the Urubamba River to the town of Ollantaytambo, one of the most notable examples of Inca urban planning. We will visit its majestic fortress, the scene of important battles during the Inca resistance, and observe rock formations representing the god Wiracocha, one of the most revered deities in their worldview.

At the end of the tour, we will return to the city of Cusco, where we will drop you off at the Main Square, thus concluding an unforgettable day in the heart of the Inca legacy.
